Ronald Gets Grounded (also abbreviated as RGG) is an animated grounded series created by Pip Pip that first debuted on YouTube on June 7, 2016. Based on the PBS Kids television series Nature Cat, the series follows Ronald's antics that results in, YES, OF COURSE, him getting grounded.
The series has been renewed for a sixth season, which premiered on July 31, 2019, which will be the final season to be made using the Comedy World theme, due to Vyond's announcement of the retirement of the Legacy Video Maker. The Comedy World finale aired on December 30, 2019.
The seventh season, now made using Vyond Studio and Plotagon, premiered on January 5, 2020. A YouTube channel for the series was created on November 4, 2019, which has all the season one episodes uploaded as "RGG Classics".
On February 4, 2020, Pip Pip announced that a graphic novel series of the show is in development, with Juli DePallo illustrating. The series was also renewed for its eighth season.
On March 30, 2020, as part of a restructuring process at Fredbear Studios, Pip Pip announced that the eighth season will be its last. The reason for that was that the restructuring included the cancellation of grounded series and films based on grounded series.
On August 10, 2020, Goanimate Mac Guff announced that a film based on Ronald Gets Grounded is in development with a collabration with Warner Bros Animation, 9 days later, it went on production for 14 days using Vyond Free Trial and it will be released in United States on Netflix All Access while 5 lands in europe while having theatrical release and internationally on Youtube.
On December 30, 2021, Pipster announced the cancellation of the series in a community post on his YT channel.
